Hopes and Beans, is a vegetarian/vegan cafe in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs.
After a brainstorming all things vegan pun, we decided on the name ‘Hopes and Beans’ not only a play on hopes and dreams and associations with coffee and lentil beans but also for a deeper reflection on hope. The cafe has made a conscious effort to employ staff with mental disabilities and disadvantages.
I stuck to design fundamentals, stripped it back and followed the path of simplicity, to reflect the nature of the business, incorporating basic illustrations to introduce a fun side to the branding.
